D-STAR Callsign Registration Form
In an effort to make the gateway a little more secure, we’ve implemented a form for registering one’s call sign for use on the D-STAR Gateway network. Our form can be found here. This will notify all the Omaha Digital Communications Group D-STAR administrators, and one of them will happily add you to the list of approved call signs, which will then make its way to all of the other gateway-enabled D-STAR repeaters.

On Saturday June 7 2008, the Omaha KD0CGR D-Star repeater gained a functional gateway, connecting the local repeater successfully with the rest of the D-Star world. Thanks to the help of Lincoln amateurs Carl Morones (N0CRL) and Myron Coleman (KC0TMO), and D-Star Trust gateway administrator Jim McClellan (N5MIJ), the gateway was successfully linked up with the network and configured for the short term to bridge communications between the Omaha and Lincoln nodes.
With the gateway activation, Omaha D-Star amateur radio operators should be able to communicate with participants on D-Star nodes globally, as well as users of DVDongle equipment. Additionally, digital communications using the D-Star VHF “C” repeater capabilities should also now be possible.
To get started on using gateway capabilities, please register your callsign. Note: This link uses an internally generated web certificate. Your browser may alert you to this status as it may not recognize the certificate authority. This is normal and you should accept the certificate temporarily for this registration.
Your registration may take several days to be activated, after which you may use the gateway features on the KD0CGR repeater.
