I have a dvdongle that I am having a problem with. I can hear qso's when I am connected to a reflector but the TX is grayed out so I am not able to transmit. I have insured that I am connected to a module and not the * which will only permit listening. Everyone on the forum is suggesting a registration issue. Here is one with the most info.

Any help would be great...Thanks

Re: [DVDongle] PTT Grayed Out/Unable To TX

Ooops. I see I typo'd his callsign.. from his email address.. it is 'N0MEQ". I
see that callsign is registered on two different systems (KD0CGR and W0MAO), but
has not created a terminal on either system.

First of all, you should not register on more than one system. Once your
registration request is approved on a system, there is another step to the
registration process. You have to log back into the system and create a
'terminal'. This is explained on the website that someone gave the link for
earlier- http://www.dstargateway.org/D-Star_Registration.html -beginning at
step 8.

You should contact the admin of one of those two systems and have them delete
your registration on that system, leaving you registered on only one of them.

Good job with setting up D-Star here in Omaha!

I've passed along a link to this site to the Usenet newsgroup rec.radio.amateur.moderated:

http://groups.google.com/group/rec.radio.amateur.moderated/topics

as an example of how to do a proper, coordinated, implementation of D-Star.

Hope to get on the air with all of you soon.

I've got an IC-92AD as well... and yes, the KD0CGR repeater doesn't always ack. Perhaps John/WB0CMC and Steve/N0UP might have some ideas here because it is terribly confusing at times. When you're unsure of your new digital mode equipment, it really is nice to know the repeater heard you.

John, it *should* beep after you release the PTT. The I believe the KD0CGR repeater has an issue where it won't always make your radio beep. I'm not sure what happened. I think WB0CMC is looking into it.

Ok,I just got the IC-92AD handheld. I am new to the digital mode. I have one question, will the KD0CGR TX a courtesy beep after I have keyed up the repeater or after each voice transmission?

Thanks
John
